[HELLO WORLD]

Introduction to the company

Welcome potential reader!
The name’s Lucas. I’m the head programmer and leading web-designer here at FrostBound Studios. Since you’ve found your way here it I’ll have to introduce you to our little project and the work we’ve done here. Hopefully I’ll be able to explain all this well enough. My manner of speech can sometimes be quite embellished and aureate ;]

WHAT’S A FROSTBOUND?
We have to begin pretty slow. Who are we? What do we do? Why should you care about our project? I can at least answer two of those. The third you have to rationalize yourself. Simply put, we’re video-game developers. We make games for people to enjoy. At least, that’s what we do primarily. While we develop games, we also create other digital software and digital assets. Currently, we’re working on a 2D cooking game for PC and Android. We also have quite the reach. We hail from the frozen mysterious northern reaches ofsweden. More specifically northern Sweden. All of us come from vastly different parts of the country and all of us ended up here to work with game-development. We’ve been studying it for the better part of three years, and we’ve have been running the company for about half that time.

Game progress :]

EARLY DAYS
Where to begin? There’s been a lot. This is what I get for not writing these logs earlier.
As has been said, all of us are studying game-development. We all knew each other pretty well before we decided to start the company; and thus we banded together when the time felt right. You see, FrostBound started as an idea. Four students who wanted to start on their journey of game-development and get a head start on creating that which we all loved. Art. I’m making this sound way more epic than it actually was, but hey! That’s the thing about writing history. I could say we all grew up with developing and you’d never know ;]

Snapping back to reality, what really happened is that we all decided to band together and form a company in order to get a head start on running one. You see, running a company is a mandatory part of our studies, so we would have to start one either way. It was early 2024 when we (kinda) made our new little partnership official. We expected to work a bit on our own projects, but It did not take long for a good work opportunity to present itself. Here is where I want to introduce another group. Gammeläng. A daytime operation for the local labor market association. They are responsible for giving job opportunities and other activities for the disadvantaged and disabled. They reached out to our educators with a proposal. To develop a game to help them teach out a variety of basic activities. The company discussion did not go on for very long. We took that opportunity pretty much immediately. That’s why we’re here now, working on a cooking game. It was one of their suggestions. While working on the game early on we also did a bunch of other stuff. From finishing Game Design Documents, figuring out our branding and, unfortunately, having quite some inter-company struggles, we had a lot on our plates. As for that last one, that’s why we’re currently three members and not four like I stated earlier. Though I won’t name anything about them (for privacy reasons), I feel most of our troubles and disagreements have been smoothed over by now.

There have been a lot of stuff since then too, but nothing interesting enough to write about. Until then, see you next time.
